Bumpass Hell Mudpots
Escaping gasses, heated by hot volcanic rock beneath the surface, bubble
out of Bumpass Hell's mudpots. The smell of sulpher in this area is quite
strong, but I don't mind because it reminds me of my Yellowstone adventure
in 1990. Clint and I had a good chuckle when we heard a younster tell
his parents, "I don't like the smell of Bumpass Hell!"
